Peapod Studio Casting Demonstration

Ronna is proud to say that her jewelry is made in Round Pond and not overseas. “With everything made worldwide it is so difficult to find items made locally. My designs are made right here in my studio. “

To acquaint the public with the process she uses to make her designs, Ronna is opening her studio to demonstrate a process known as lost wax casting. Most of us imagine that jewelry making requires a small torch and other delicate tools, but with this technique Lugosch uses a big torch and melts grains of metal until they are molten. “If you have ever had a fascination about lava flowing from a volcano, you will probably enjoy seeing this procedure done. Watching the flame melt the metal into a glowing pool is exciting and a bit unnerving at the same time,” informs Lugosch.

Join the staff of Peapod Jewelry to see this demonstration. Appetizers and refreshments will be served.
